Description A classic woven amulet in a pillow shape. Crafted with gold and silver thread in pink, adorned with pearls and a ribbon. Elder Paisios, when asked about amulets, would say:“Amulets are fabrics of various shapes, square or triangular, which contain various sacred items such as oil from the vigil lamp, basil from the Holy Cross, mastic wax from a church consecration or from the white vestment of the bishop who performed the consecration, and pieces of relic cloth from saints’ vestments. In addition to these amulets, which Christians usually obtain from holy monasteries, there are also other kinds. However, amulets by themselves do not save if there is no faith in God, accompanied by participation in the Holy Sacraments of the Orthodox Church.
