Description A handmade porcelain with the image of Our Lady of Awesome Protection, crafted entirely by hand. This icon of the Theotokos was the only object that was saved from a terrible fire, which destroyed an entire part of the monastery in Crete. He was transferred to the monastery, where he still performs many miracles, as witnessed by the fathers of the monastery and the pilgrims. In a recent fire in the forest of the monastery, the monks ran to the spot with the icon and in a short time a torrential rain stopped the destruction. It is located in the iconostasis of the Catholic chapel and on the Tuesday of Diakenisimos it is litanically from the monastery in Protato, where it repays the visit of “Axion Estin”, which took place the previous day in Koutloumoussi.
