To a sick pious abbot God revealed the day of his death. He willed before his death to communicate the Immaculate Mysteries. So he asked the vicar hieromonk to hurry up in time to receive communion. However, he delayed and the Elder risked dying without receiving communion. Then an angry voice was heard from the icon of the Virgin asking the hieromonk why he was late and did not comply with the Elder’s request. As was natural, the hieromonk complied and, trembling with fear, did his work. Since then this icon was called “Our Lady of the Elder”, because she supported the plea of ​​the Elder.
